About PoP-Eye
PoP-Eye is a South African Proof-of-Payment fake-detector. A merchant drops the PDF a buyer sent them; PoP-Eye returns a verdict — Pass or Fail — on whether the receipt looks doctored, in roughly 30 seconds.
We do not move money. We do not integrate with the bank. PoP-Eye is an evidence-shaped risk indicator, not a guarantee. The standing recommendation on every verdict, including Pass, is to verify the transaction directly with the bank before releasing goods.
What PoP-Eye does
PoP-Eye flags structural and metadata anomalies in PDFs — we don't talk to the bank and we don't move money. The verdict is a preliminary reading; the standing recommendation to verify with the bank applies on every result, including Pass.
Who built this
PoP-Eye is built and operated by Lawrence S. (privacy@pop-eye.io). The service is independent — not affiliated with FNB, Capitec, Standard Bank, ABSA, with any other South African bank, or with any payment provider.
